I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm home! My cat! My things! My computer with porny fanfic that I don't need to hide! Goodness, it's lovely to be home.

Punishingly Intricate

I'll let the winds clear the paltry maybe 2 inches of snow off my car in the long term lot.

Between the wind and the sunny couple of days, you should be fine!

Hey, what's your NYE plans, if any?

Hello, all! We're having a good vacation in Los Angeles and my mother may not take any more phone calls from me since I called her yesterday from the beach to ask how much snow they got.

sorry to post and run, but the teenagers here want to get on the computer

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have almost got us all packed up, but mac is in the tub, so I am not allowed to leave the house to start loading the car, or to swap the laundry next door at my aunt's house.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Argh. Espresso machine produced one teaspoon of ice-cold coffee this morning and then just stopped dead. This is our third to go dead in less than two years (the first one, a Braun, lasted almost 15 years before dying, but Braun doesn't make them anymore). Does anyone have any recommendations for espresso-making workhorses that won't collapse after a couple of months?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

JZ- I use a stovetop one like this (only mine was $10.00 in the ethnic food section of my grocery store).

I would say it can't die, however, I killed mine this morning by putting it on the stove with no water and starting a fire. So I, too, am in the market for a new coffee maker.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

OMG, I just looked at my electric bill for December. It's $170!!! Has to be because I and/or my mom was home for those three weeks. Last December, I only used 1300 kw--this year, it's 2000.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I used to own a Gaggia Carezza (I had to lose it in the move). I used it daily in my office when I had a job and occasionally at home when I didn't. I bartered it to the producer of my album and as far as I know it's still working for him. However, it's an older model so it may be a little hard to find. I see some listings on Google Shopping but I didn't hit the links to follow through:
