Given how ubiquitous cell phones are, does he just think that everyone who has one is getting scammed?
Possibly. Most probably, he's on the side of the rich thing.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Connie, is your husband my mother?
Happy Birthday Jesse!
Happy Birthday Theo!
Happy Birthday Rayne!
Speaking of Theo, has anybody heard from her lately?
I am pretty sure Theodosia was headed into an internet-rare zone (with family) for the holiday.
Well, I hope she's caking it up today.
As for myself, I have home-made baklava. Imagine the Pooh-bear's smeck smeck of honey stick satisfaction.
I also have the house to myself for the first time in several days and am enjoying the lack of hustle and bustle.
I'm poking around in the Yuletide listings and finding fic on Dahl's Matilda, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Mary Poppins / Tipping the Velvet (which I mention for meara's sake), and (surprisingly) no less than eleven stories in How To Train Your Dragon.

Happy birthday, Boxing Day peoples!
I am tiiiiired. And really glad that we don't have any plans today. I am going to slounge around the house in tights, bloomers, and a Nightmare Before Christmas shirt, do some sewing projects, and watch a lot of movies.
We're watching Star Trek (2009) on my parents' blu-Ray. They and my brother haven't seen it yet.

Ha! I knew that'd get you. There's also Addams Family fic. And Ziggy Stardust fic.
I think you'd like the non-slashy Mary Poppins story too. Rather sad tale of young George Banks and his mean nanny. And then the wind changed.
The Ill-Advised Skeletal Exchange Programme (Jack and Death trade places)
Tidbit:
Susan was resolutely unimpressed. The tall figure's face returned to normal — which, as a skull, wasn't particularly normal — and looked puzzled. Then he grinned, a very normal expression for a skull.
"Are you surprised?" Jack Skellington said hopefully. "He said you would be."
Susan, arms crossed, tapped one foot. Jack looked at the floor, arms folded forlornly behind his back.
Be advised that it's timing out with heavy traffic so you'll most likely have to give it several clicks and some patience to load.
Ah-ha! Thank you!
There's always Addams Family fic. It's one of the things I look forward to in Yuletide.
Happy Birthday, Jesse, Theo and Rayne!
