Well, I pulled them out. Not sure what to do with them. I'm due at my brother's in a half of an hour.

Took a walk but not more than a mile because the blister on my foot still hasn't healed. Saw a whole extended family out for a Xmas bike ride, which was cool. Came back and my parents were up but not my siblings yet. So it was a good time for me to give them their presents. The shirt kinda fits my dad. Might be slightly too large but will probably change in the wash. My mom seemed to like her gifts of a magnum of popcorn salt and a brace of white cheddar powder for popcorn. She said it was the sort of thing she wouldn't allow herself the luxury of, which is exactly what I try for. I try to get things they like but for some reason won't allow themselves (and things that I can afford).
Then my sister came downstairs wearing a Snuggie and Sophia Loren sunglasses. OMG, I wanted to take a picture so badly. She looked hilarious (especially because she had a scowl on her face...which is why I didn't dare take a picture). Made some scrambled eggs for my mom and sister.
Got some $ from my parents which I think I'll put towards taking a VO class so I can get my chops back and maybe work my way back to independence again. Also got 3 seasons of Mad Men on DVD (yay!) and an Aquitaine Sundial ring, which I'd never heard of. I'll need to RTFM on that.
Sun is out and things look great. No hordes yet so it's been some nice mostly mellow time with a smaller version of my family.
Aw, my neighbor just brought me cookies. What a sweetheart!
Eta: cookies I'm fairly certain I can't eat, but it's a nice gesture. I'm sure I can find someone to eat them for me.
-t, bring them Saturday?? ;) EDIT: Er, FRIDAY.
Also, I LOVE that your neighbors brought you cookies. So did my neighbor Erinn. And I literally ate them all up right after she left.
(This is why I don't normally have cooooookies in my house!)
That's nice, -t!
While I'm pretty sure my mom - I mean Santa - didn't shop at ThinkGeek, ThinkGeek has a YouTube video showing how the Aquitaine sundial ring works. [link]
Timelies all!
Am back from Florida. A typical visit with my folks, which is to say, lots of food, a good bit of channel surfing(this year's channel of choice was MLB Network) and a bit of sight-seeing.(We went for an airboat tour at Sawgrass Recreation Park, then looked at the critters on display)
Stir in unsweetened gelatine or arrowroot powder. Finish baking them at Bros.
A little touched, sarameg?
It is cold rain in Athens GA and mighty unfestive, I say. The children are loving their first viewing of Star Wars.
I might just do that, javachik.
What order are they seeing, flea?
