Whoa--all of the sudden, I am sooooo sleepy. Like, I'm thinking about laying my head down on my desk and zonking out for a bit. We do have a room downstairs that people use as a nap room (seriously!), but you have to sign out the key, which makes it official and I've never had the nerve to do it. In the past, I'd just get a Diet Coke and wake up, but I can't do that anymore.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm watching Barney Miller on Hulu at work. Of course, the Big Boss just walked through the office (something he does maybe every 3 months.)
It is not my job to format and "remove the typos" from your CV. If you can't write your own CV, perhaps you should return your PhD and STFU.
This has been your daily sledgehammer of hate.

Can I borrow it to whack the shit out of my aunt who isn't doing a very good job of keeping people informed (like, hasn't called my dad to let him know when my uncle-her BIL-will be buried so he can see if he can fly in)or letting people in and then posts status updated about how the burden of my uncle's death (again, her brother-in-law, not husband or brother) has fallen on her because the family is so weak so that all of her church friends will bless her for being so Christian about it all.
Actual fax is often the easiest way to return documents requiring signatures. Yes electronic signatures are easy to do, but tons of places don't accept them. And even if some place accepts e-sigs, unless you deal with them regularly, it is easier to Fax them rather than wait for them to do the research to track down the one person in their office who knows that they accept e-signatures.

Ah, Facebook, removing all doubts as to the assholery of people.
I am saddened that Shelly West doesn't appear to have music available online, thus preventing me from buying "José Cuervo.
Awww, I LOVE that song!
What's up with the ACLU fundraising department? I had a little extra money this fall, so I cut them a check, and a month later they called me and got shirty when I refused to double it. Today I got the membership renewal letter, and instead of putting down the annual membership fee in the amount box they put in that plus the extra amount I gave this year, and then added a note suggesting I should double that.
It really makes me want to tell them to shove it and and give any future extra to Greenpeace or Planned Parenthood.
Calli, at the end of last year, they got word that one of their major, long term supporters was no longer going to be able to continue the multi-million dollar annual contributions due to the extreme tanking of the economy, so fund-raising efforts have had to go into overdrive. I'm not keen on all that I do get from them, as the spare cash in my budget is small. But I'm trying to be forebearing, knowing that they are hurting for it.
ETA: It might have been two years ago now. But still, scrambling for funds is still in effect because I'm sure they still feel the pinch from that.
Thanks to Matt, I'm now humming my favorite anthem to black out binge drinking.
Here's a digital version with her singing.
