Cash, your stories about your family make me ponder if we're related. Did you ever watch "My Name Is Earl" and play "spot the cousin"
Had to stop. It got way too easy.

So I just had to turn off Disney Kids (I mean, really, is there any other version of Diseny TV?). I'm in Grace's room, dressed for the nice in fleece pants and a turtleneck. I'm looking forward to a comfortable night on a convertible chair/twin bed.
I know this hospital's ER does wrong a lot for ita, but they've been dreamy today, except for the 3 hour wait for a bed. They even have an entire menu of pureed foods which can be diluted and given to Grace instead of formula which we have refused.
I missed surgery rounds because I went home to get stuff for me and Grace, including her favorite toy that she is still playing with, but she'll be discharged tomorrow AM.
That's great news, Kat. Glad she's doing so well.
I'm glad things are going well! At least as well as can be expected.
The ER saves my life. They have problems, but I couldn't cope without them. And the good people are really good, and I'm just realising maybe I should buy something to take in for them on my last pre-Christmas visit. Maybe something from TJs?
Still on for dinner tomorrow, Kat, or do you need to cancel?
My mom's best friend is totally Joy from Earl. With just a touch of Angel Martin. from Rockford.
I hope both you and Gracie get some decent sleep, Kat, and discharge goes easily. I'm so glad the staff made the day good for you.
I'm sorry about your sister, Cash. That kind of ire is no fun.
ita, I don't know. I'd like to say I'm still on but it's going to be dependent on how tonight goes. Right now I'm being stymied by the chair/bed/thingie in Grace's room that I am supposed to sleep on? WTF? Is there some magic origami move to this that I'm missing?
Is the standard sofa in the rooms a pullout? If I had known that, I'd totally have tried to unfold it when I was admitted. Just for the... you know, something to do when I wasn't in the ICU. Or did they roll in something special?
I don't have a sofa. I have a chair. It has a pullout thing that goes about 2.5 feet but then there is still the chair. Am I missing something? I clearly hope so as I still will be sleeping here.
I just went to the nurse's station to ask for cool mist/aerosole for Grace. But I also need water to mix her food and to tell someone I'm feeding her. And linens for me. And help with the damn bed. If things were more obvious, I wouldn't bother folks. But things are NOT obvious.
