Muppet-Themed Proposal of the Day:
To propose to his girlfriend Sara, and make the rest of us look really bad in the process, Sid Ceaser custom ordered a pair of Muppets designed to resemble the couple with which he put together a short film about their relationship to be screened during the previews at a movie theater the two "happened" to patronize.
The whole story is cute, although it's reminiscent of the guy who made the iPhone commercial. Is this the new proposal trend?

Maybe I have no unicorns in my heart, but I wouldn't want a cute or gimmicky proposal. No ring in the champagne glass, no skywriting, no billboards, that sort of thing makes me nervous.

I think when two people actually want to get married, it's hard to screw up the proposal. But my DH says that the wedding is all about the bride, the proposal is all about the fiance. So maybe instead of thinking of it as a gimmicky proposal, think of it as men who enjoy a grandiose romantic gesture and figure this is their moment.
