Then my co-worker gave me a few rare earth magnets to use, which I carried home in my bra, because I was paranoid about demagnetizing all my cards with them.
But your boobs might have been demagnetized!

good stuff:
I've been on vacation since last friday
DH and I had an amazing three day s in SLO
I went out with friend last night and drank lots of wine
Tonight is my goodbye dinner for moving from part time to fulltime
the worse thing about this week: I had planed to read books and watch movies this week -and I haven't done much of this
Good things: My Tivo managed to call in successfully and download data.
Erm. I have a job with sick leave so I can take today off and get paid for sitting on my couch and watching The Good Wife.
I get to re-apply for my current job this week.
Someone said something very nice about my writing, and it wasn't anyone I knew.
Oh, and Barb, if you're around: My niece liked Stars!
My boobs are of a mass that those little magnets, as strong as they are would have no effect.
Reading people's good stuff is always happy-making.
Good stuff: I caught Young Frankenstein on cable earlier, and I just ate two Candy Cane Joe-Joes.
Good stuff: I got writing done last night, I came up with a story idea for a project I've tentatively been offered, and tonight I'm going out for drinks and nibbly food with two amazingly creative people I know.
I just ate two Candy Cane Joe-Joes.
I just ate six! Or so.
I just ate two HobNobs, which my niece gave me for my birthday.
Good thing: Last night I shot off a pitch letter to a local children's book blogger who also happens to be an incredibly busy speaker and kids' library advocate and activist and was on the Caldecott committee in '09, and less than two hours later he wrote me back asking for a review copy of Allyson's book.
Other good thing: The laid-off person whose job I'm being moved into just got her own new job, so I no longer have survivor's guilt. Subsidiary good thing to that good thing: they want her to start ASAP, so instead of me moving on January 10 I'm moving on January 3, which means that in six work days I will be seeing my last for a long time, possibly ever, of Rage Nurse and Vengeance Doc.
