That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No OBs at the Ralphs near work, and no space for them either.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

There was a church in Chaudi in Goa called St. Theresa of Jesus. This is our new swear.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Argh, my doctor submitted the claim for my last visit under a defunct insured ID, so of course it was denied. I gave them the new card and told them the policy had changed, dang it.

brillig

I apologised sincerely, assuring them I hadn't intended to slip anything in through the back door. Signed off with "Roger and out". They complimented me on my courtesy.

Ow. Thank god I wasn't on the phone when I read that.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I often use "balls" as an expletive these days.

I am sitting through some computerized mandated training that I have to do before the end of the year. Which is funny: I wonder if the credit will roll over when I get rehired? Anyway, I aced the pre-training test, and then just took the post-training test and scored 94%. Because how hard is it to know that "bringing a gun to work" is a signifier for workplace violence?

Sheesh.

No OBs at the Ralphs near work, and no space for them either.

1 Walgreens here had none, and no shelf space. The other I checked had some (although obviously no Ultras, which I don't use but I thought it was interesting they were still marked on the shelf).

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I've ended up with an 8x10 rug that I don't want. What the frick do I do with this thing? It's draped over my office, I think I can roll it up but I'm not sure I can lift it.

Zen, you might call a women's or homeless shelter with a transitional living program and see if they need it. Sometimes, they will pick stuff up.

I have a pottymouth, and I have to train myself out of it. I say "Oh, bugger!" a lot, and am fairly confident I won't be caught out at work. Sometimes I throw in a "frickin'" and a nice "Merde!!"

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

CVS had a couple of lonely Regulars and empty spaces for the Super and variety packs.
