It was 11C (50-ish) here yesterday, which is very warm for this time of year.

We had one of our warmest Novembers on record. Then suddenly it got really cold. Like, single-digits when I leave for work. The start of December has been one of the coldest in decades.
I think the suddenness of the transition has made the cold seem worse.
To me, that's more creepy than beautiful, coming this early. It's nice in February and March...I wouldn't want it to be a hundred and thirty to make up for blowing past "Winter". Not worth it. So I'm glad things will level off soon.
I remembered over the weekend why I'm grateful for the cold -- it was like 50 degrees on Saturday and I was all, "So warm! You barely need a coat!"
Honey love muffin, that's Stockholm Syndrome, and it's a bad thing.
It was 80 here a couple days ago. Now it's grey and rainy. Poutface.
ION, the construction in our building continues. Not quite as much jackhammering today, but I just noticed a shit smell. So I went to the part of the building where they're doing the construction, and I smelled sewage from where they ripped up the floor of a bathroom.
I hope the sewage smell doesn't last all day....
Jesse, insent.
So, the primary reason I didn't stay home today was that I was supposed to have a meeting with my boss and my boss boss. My boss just left for a meeting that goes until 3, and my boss boss rarely stays later than 3, so I don't think the GD meeting is going to happen. I could be sleeping.
Crawling under my desk and napping is looking pretty good right now.
Heh. Somebody on a baseball thread just pointed out that the new rotation for the Phillies (Roy Oswalt, Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay) will lead to an inevitable headline should they sweep the Rangers in interleague play:
