Scheduled maintenance isn't that impressive a reason for downtime if you don't tell me first, tumblr.

{{{Aims}}} I've so been there. You are not a failure, lady. You are doing tons of big, great things! This is barely a blip on the radar - a blipette, if you will.
Jessica, I will join you in your real estate lust. I want this! Now! [link]
Current seating arrangements in my living room:
Me: 5'5'' and a hundred and thirtymumble pounds. 18"x24" stool.
Dog: 2' long and 35 lbs. 4'x5' cushion on floor.
Cat: 18" long and 10 lbs. 7' couch.
Is something wrong with this picture? (And why do I feel like I should graph this?)
I got through one hour of work today and then was laid-off.
I have another job lined up for next week, but not getting paid for this week will really hurt.
I had to buy 2 new tires that I can't afford yesterday because they keep going flat.
Fucking Monday!
Quester, I'm sorry. What a crap Monday.
Btrenda, I'm picturing the cat keeping both of you off the couch in that scenario.
Aw, quester, that bites. I'm glad you've got something lined up for next week, though.
Fuck, quester. Good that you have something else lined up, but still.
I hate when they do that, quester. It's fucking bullshit to let you come in on a Monday and cut you loose after an hour. That makes it really difficult to find a new assignment. They should have finished you up on Friday, and given you warning so you could set something else up.
Bullshit!
Ugh quester, what a crappy way to treat you.
It's fucking bullshit to let you come in on a Monday and cut you loose after an hour.
Well, in the guy's defense, he didn't know there was a problem until 5:30 on Friday. An hour after I had gotten off of work. And he was assured that there would be enough work for at least a couple of days if not all week.
Then we ran out of work a lot sooner than he expected. So he sent us home believing we would have new work in the morning. And then by the time I got home he'd been told that "no" the pug was being pulled on everything until after the first of the year.
He's been straight with us and let me work for a couple of days after he laid a bunch of other people off, so I don't blame him. It just sucks.
