I am having a day it seems. Boss lady had a Dr's appointment and her calendar was slow, so she's WFH all day. In the meantime all these "emergencies" have popped up at the end of the day. Plus, there are people who are all "Laffer proved tax cuts for the rich work!" and "Obama's freezing raises for city employees, I'mma vote for Palin!" which would be fine, but for the stupid, and I just turned in my timesheet, and writing in the dates for this week just made me realize today is 12/10 which makes it 2 yrs ago we put our beloved Maxine to sleep, and I don't think I'm going to get to do even a small happy hour because we are broke as fuck, and Jon will probably push responsibility and I will give in because he is right.

What am I doing this weekend? Today is Gary's birthday, so when he gets home I'm taking him out to dinner. Tomorrow we're going to a holiday party. Sunday we're having dinner with Gary's dad and step-mom.

I am following the vax talk but I am mostly staying out of commenting because, well, clearly I have some personal issues about it right now.
At least I know a lot of friends who made sure they were vaccinated against pertussis. Just so disappointed that I can't say the same for all of my family.
If you don't have actual objections (and religious or pseudoscience counts), I think it's awful not to protect your children. No, I honestly think it's criminal. But I am trying to be polite and so I will not be completely honest.
Mostly I just hope I can avoid the topic this weekend with family.
