Well, I think they're wrong to never have taken the child to a doctor, but why no playdates? Assuming one's own child is vaccinated and there are no family members who have related health issues or are infants, I'd be more comfortable having playdates with non-vaccinators than with careless people who have swimming pools or own guns.
Yay for jobs for shadow, and good neighborhood builders for David and JZ, and yays for everyone else!!
I've finally gotten around to trying the vanilla Greek yogurt my mom picked up for me last week, and OMG, is it made of Yum!! I had it for breakfast, and decided to have it for lunch, too. Loads of protein for an added bonus, much more than I was getting with my chocolate pudding breakfast and tomato soup lunch and dinner.
Today, I have to run out to Walgreens and pick up some stuff, and then come home and do my homework for class tomorrow. After class, I'll head over to Jewel for some food supplies, and then Dad's coming up for the afternoon. Sunday is supposed to start our cold streak, so I'm planning on staying in for a few days.

Good point, although I was thinking about the little kids who may not yet be fully vaccinated for everything, and could be infected by the older sibling's playmate.
flea, because even if you've gotten your vaccines, you may not have had enough reaction to fight off the disease. Not everyone responds perfectly to all vaccinations--it's one of the things they do in the initial clinical trials, take blood samples after injections to see how people respond, to decide dosages. And "adjuvants", which irritate your immune system to cause a bigger response, are one of the things that people often worry about when worrying about what the vaccinations are doing.
Yeah, my kids are 4 and 7 so they are full up on everything. Well, except HPV, and that's a whole different kinda playdate.
Edit, good point, meara.

Bwahahah! OK, this totally made me giggle out loud.
no idea on weekend plans. I am going to try to cook some more, going to try to get mac to read along with an audio book, going to try and knit, going to try and get two storage tubs and a file cabinet out of the front living room. I may not get any of that done.

Yeah. I just stole and shared that complete with a Sheldonesque "You're welcome."
Ooh, yeah, I have some knitting to do. I made good progress during the Colts game last night. I'd like to finish the side two of my (what turns out to totally be Raiders colors, oops) first-ever sweater. Then onto sleeves.
