You know me! I'm like, "Go school! It's your birthday!" Or something to that effect.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Weekend: Not a thing. We came back with like $2 in the bank account so we have no money for anything for a couple of weeks.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

If I'm not mistaken, there's some McWarringles in the second photo up there.

Yep, that's us! That was a fun Neighborhood Association meeting I tell you whut.

It's been pretty chilly here this week - highs in the upper 40s- but it looks like next week will be more in the 60s, so yay. I am tired of wearing socks all the time.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I hate winter.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have so many weekend plans! Date tonight, vet in the morning, then to the parents' where I will bake cookies with my mother and/or take my father Christmas shopping, to be followed by Family Dinner, because Sunday afternoon, we'll be at an event. Sunday morning laundry, etc.

Makes me want to hop a Southwest flight this weekend, but as mentioned before, we're brokeasses.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I have to do x-mas shopping this weekend, as we're celebrating next weekend in Madison at sis and her GF's place.

Ooh! Tomorrow I get to pick up my new glasses. Did I mention that? $630, not counting eye exam. My first pair of bifocals. How exciting!

OK, a few years ago, getting bifocals would have annoyed me. But now I'm tired of not being able to see things up close....

Because books.

I need them, too, tommy. I can't read anything anymore with my contacts in, and the cheapo readers I picked up no longer cut it. Plus, it's a pain to need them and not have them to hand.

Not sure how expensive the bifocal contacts are going to be, though.

And what's with all the carrots?

We have mid-50's today. Not a usual winter in NE. Usually by this time we are bundled like eskimo's. The snow and cold temps are supposed to start tomorrow.

ION. I'm very excited but cannot shout to my social networking world that I start a new job within a department of my state January 3rd!!! A slight reduction in pay, but with benefits! retirement! flex-medical! It's located in the downtown area of our capitol, so parking could be a bear, but I checked into public transportation and it is the same cost as monthly parking without the need to ride a bus for two hours a day.

Congrats on the new job, slayeroshadow!
