I definitely should have worn boots today. It wasn't snowing at all when I left the house, but now the snow is so thick that it's completely obscuring the mountain I can usually see from my office window.

Friday! What are people doing this weekend?
Mine's sort of starting early, because I'm working from home today, which means I get to do home stuff when it's not busy, and I have a lot of home stuff to do. Also errands, and laundry, and cleaning.
Weekend: Not a thing. We came back with like $2 in the bank account so we have no money for anything for a couple of weeks.
If I'm not mistaken, there's some McWarringles in the second photo up there.
Yep, that's us! That was a fun Neighborhood Association meeting I tell you whut.
It's been pretty chilly here this week - highs in the upper 40s- but it looks like next week will be more in the 60s, so yay. I am tired of wearing socks all the time.
I hate winter.
I have so many weekend plans! Date tonight, vet in the morning, then to the parents' where I will bake cookies with my mother and/or take my father Christmas shopping, to be followed by Family Dinner, because Sunday afternoon, we'll be at an event. Sunday morning laundry, etc.

Makes me want to hop a Southwest flight this weekend, but as mentioned before, we're brokeasses.
I have to do x-mas shopping this weekend, as we're celebrating next weekend in Madison at sis and her GF's place.
Ooh! Tomorrow I get to pick up my new glasses. Did I mention that? $630, not counting eye exam. My first pair of bifocals. How exciting!
OK, a few years ago, getting bifocals would have annoyed me. But now I'm tired of not being able to see things up close....
I need them, too, tommy. I can't read anything anymore with my contacts in, and the cheapo readers I picked up no longer cut it. Plus, it's a pain to need them and not have them to hand.
Not sure how expensive the bifocal contacts are going to be, though.
