I cannot find flashlights. ugh. They are on the list of what to bring to camp and I know we had at least one out in the house, but cannot find.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Happy Birthday, Perkins!

Good Luck, Kathy!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Could you average each? So "students responded that on average $Specific number, or a range of $Lower end-$Higher end."

Happy birthday, Perkins (and the Board, too!)

And thanks, Kate and Trudy (and everyone else, too). I've got some bloodwork and a sleep study to do next week, and then the liaison with the surgeon will put the paperwork through to Blue Cross. As soon as they get an approval from the HMO (estimated 1-4 weeks), we can schedule the surgery. I'm hoping to be able to have it the week of November 15th, which will work best for my office (I'm taking three weeks short-term leave) and my mom coming out for that first week to help me out. I should only have to miss one class that first week, and still have the weekend of Thanksgiving to recover even more before going back to school.

Before the actual surgery, I'll still have to have two endoscopies done (one for gall bladder, one for something else I can't recall offhand) and return to the vein specialist for a followup around Halloween. When I have the actual surgery, they'll be putting in a filter into my vena cava as well to help prevent any blood clots from forming (it'll disappear after about 100 days).

Ann, that's a ferret.

Vortex, what are your PTB looking for? If they want one specific number, I'd probably use the middle of each range. If they're just trying to get a general idea, you might be able to get away with, "The general consensus of the students was $ to $" without doing a lot of math.
