"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I think the term Buffistas dates from 2000, but the Buffy threads on TT go back to 1997.

I went back to the FAQ to check, and just read through the entire FAQ again. I love us. And it makes me miss those who were such a part of us, but have moved on.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Vortex - I totally used the "metrics for success" question. And yeah, it gave him pause which made me feel good. Thanks again for your help.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

The only positive thing that I associate with 9/11 was the way we all got each other through it. Really. And it changed how I thought about the Buffistas, from "these are the people I talk about Buffy with [and they're smart, funny, and fabulously weird]," to "these are my people."

Completely and totally. Yes.

Even though I can't often post, I'm usually lurking and y'all are in my thoughts when I know Stuff (good or bad) is happening in your lives. This is my Internet Home.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just realized that Carl Paladino and my dad may have gone to law school together - they're 2 years apart agewise so could have overlapped at Syracuse.

(Not quite the "EW, TEA PARTY COOTIES!" reaction I have from realizing I grew up down the street from Paul Wolfowitz and went to elementary school with his daughter, but still. Small world.)

OH, neat, Dana! You should totally come up for our awesome fabulous show on the night of the 23rd in Baltimore. :) Failing that, I plan to head down to DC at some point on the 24th (afternoonish) and don't leave until late on the 25th, so totally possible. It'll be funny if we live in the same state and see each other in...the other Washington. :)
