"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, Dana. Definitely nap.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, nap, Dana! And don't stand up too fast.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Although I do worry about what, really, are the tea partier objectives?

Yeah, just restoring honor and freedom and just kind of help the White House people to understand that we need to work for, you know, freedom...

Also something about guns and prayer, I think?

Punishingly Intricate

Looks like the police shot and killed the hopkins shooter just now. freaking surreal.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also something about guns and prayer, I think?

I am praying that they are not free to use their guns.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Liese, I am so sorry. Wishing peace for you and for Moses' family and friends. I'm glad to hear that you are thinking about ways to remember him, but so sorry that this is something you have to live with now.

How are you currently pushing your luck?

Hmm. Putting off making an appointment with a therapist? And scheduling something major for every weekend from now until mid-November, although at least one of those weekends will be a vacation rather than an obligation.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Also, my car is making some noises. I don't know what they mean. But they stop before I could get as far as the shop.

Trust my rage

How are you currently pushing your luck?

I have been juggling my current job - that I want to leave, with a job interview with a new firm, with the recent acquisition of several new (to me) clients. I'm worried something will fall through the cracks and explode.

Coding and Sleeping

Although I do worry about what, really, are the tea partier objectives?

I think less spending and taxes is the primary message, but the crucial question of what to actually cut seems pretty murky. I think it needs to be usual combination of "earmarks" and "waste". That and "more freedom", but I'm unsure of what that means, I think it might be less of any government programs that don't directly benefit me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!
