In Berkeley I was all about the ashtanga yoga. Here the only studio I've enjoyed is a Bikram one because I found the owner to be encouraging and supportive of people in the room at every level. (In Berkeley, Bikram was the pick-up yoga place for singles and I wouldn't be caught dead there.) I can not tell you how many studios I tried around here when we moved - 15? 20? in various disciplines and there were teachers who ignored injuries, put on make-up and perfume right before they taught class, or used half the classes to tell us about their personal philosophy and/or spirituality. And classes here are much more expensive than in CA, so I ended up pissed off more often than not.
In short, I think that yoga and college have a lot in common in that you should choose classes by teacher and not by subject wherever possible.
My hair loses all of its wave when it is that short, but it is very easy to take a shape with just brushing wet or styling while drying. I have no plans to color as I do not have the funds, and my hope is that if I get it cut right, it will grow between cuts into the most recent mid-length that looked good on me, we'll see.
Oddly enough, today's Chicago Groupons are for Bikram Yoga.
I was finally ready to go back to yoga this summer when my yoga studio closed. There's really nothing in my neighborhood, either. But I think getting back into yoga would help my back by helping me build core strength, even though I'm pretty sure it was yoga that injured my back.
Morning at Brenda's house: the cat is up on the counter taking tortilla chips from the bag and dropping half of them on the floor, where the dog is tiptoeing forward to pick them up.
At least they're sharing?

Yay teamwork?
Morning at Sparky's house: the baby is up in her chair taking lentil chips from the bag and throwing half of them on the floor, where the dog is running forward to pick them up.
At least they're sharing?
What's gonna work? Teamwork!
Parents are going to get that one.
Monday is here and I've got too much to do and not enough time to do it. My penance for goofing off all weekend.
Morning at Theo's house: Spare Cat is being annoying. Theo is trying to locate her will to live.
