Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kat, my mother just asked about your babies again today. You need to take a vacation to Jamaica so that she can meet them.

And, yeah, I can imagine it's slow from where you're standing...but milestones! Giggling! Signs! I'm remembering when you first got to take her home for a bit, like at Thanksgiving, and she was a lot less mobile, and spent more time hitting herself, etc. Yesterday she was just pleased as punch.

My boss called me yesterday because of something he sees as a glaring system testing omission. Proble is, I don't really see it. He wanted me to call my co-workers, stat, and get them engaged. One of them isn't even on our team. And I didn't have their info on me.

I've just dropped a text to the business owner, and I'm not sure what he's going to read into it. The developer thought I was crazy, but luckily he accepted my suggestion of calling my boss and talking to him about it.

Just...I'm hoping I don't get dinged in any way for not acting on it immediately.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

You might know since you set her up in her dorm. Like, does she have a coffee maker? Microwave? Freezer? Hotpot?

Liese, I'm not sure because D's roommate joined a sorority and is moving out. So, I don't know what was hers and what was her roommate's. Poor girl is sort of feeling adrift by the move out, I think. Let me call my sister and I'll get back to you.

I'm remembering when you first got to take her home for a bit, like at Thanksgiving, and she was a lot less mobile, and spent more time hitting herself, etc.

And even THEN those things felt huge. In some ways, we've trained ourselves to be expectation-light when it comes to Grace, so when she does things, it's really amazing and awesome and wonderful.

You need to take a vacation to Jamaica so that she can meet them.

I'd love to go to Jamaica! But I think we're hanging close to home as much as we can. Traveling is an ordeal and it's less because of Grace and way more because of Noah and his attempts at non-stop-motion.

Also, WRT the Boss, what immediate outcomes is he expecting?

Because books.

I just saw the picture of Maura Tierney on the cover of Parade, and she looks adorable. I want her haircut.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I found four dollars on the sidewalk! Happy birthday to me!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Whoa! That happened to me about 20 years ago and I thought it was so weird for 4 separate dollar bills to be wafting down the street.

There was one dollar bill alone and three dollar bills scrunched up next to each other. I guess they fell out of someone's pocket, and it wasn't windy, so who knows how long they'd sat there. There was no one around, so it's anyone's guess. If I'd seen someone looking down at the sidewalk on the way back, I would have given them their money back, but I did not.

Remembered to vote for Kat's Limeades project. Phew.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Today - Farmers Market for peaches and Nicole (bought one, visited with the other). Splurged on a pedicure and now have pretty blue toenails. Came home, washed the peaches and ate one. NOMMMMM. Went through my CSA veggies - cooked the summer squash and washed some kind of leafy green and have it ready to make chips during the week. I have a few cucumbers that I want to cut up for cucumber/vinegar salad. Need to look up proportions for the vinegar sauce.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

My farmers markets never seem to have fruit. But there are lots of peaches at the supermarket. I was going to buy yesterday and can today, but it didn`t happen. Instead I am lolling about, getting ready for our band meeting this afternoon and debating on whether I should buy a side dish or make one.
