Well, you are more granola than me, I've got the granola creds in history to measure by!

Too much of a hippie for yoga. Impressive!
I have been singularly unsuccessfully in getting anything done today. Tomorrow will be me, a 12-pack of Diet Coke, and a full iPod dedicated to whipping the kitchen into shape.
I thought it was cyanide in almonds.
msbelle: [link] Nifty, huh?
Yeah, I'm really not. I'm really not that granola at all. I'm an SUV driving person who drives a mile to work most days! I like plastic ziploc bags. Sure I make my own granola, but it's more because I can control how it tastes. I shop at whole foods not for organic food or hemp shit, but because I'm sort of a weirdo foodie. Foodie? Yes. Tree Hugger? Maybe. But Hippie? Oh hell no.
-t is right! Cyanide in both apple seeds and almonds.
ah, but not the ones we eat now. jeez. scared.
google search also gave me arsenic in them. So double poisons in the bitter almonds?
Everywhere? Because that sounds good.
We will sell you everything and everyone for the almighty Amerikkkan dollar.
Mmm. Hydration. Must obtain more before passing out early.
I think I have a lift to ice cream, Kat. Makes it more likely, even if I feel like crap.
all this talk did was to make me get up off my butt and dig into the 2lb bin of almonds. mmmmmm.
I'm sadly ice creamless.
I think I have a life to ice cream, Kat. Makes it more likely, even if I feel like crap.
YAY! I do hope you don't feel like crap.
Cashmere, you should come here and have ice cream (and beer. We have pretty yummy beer).
Fun quote from an email about me from a former student. She sent it to a colleague (she's going to Occidental)
As for my classes, every freshmen had to choose a "Cultural Studies Program" or CSP which all contain 16 students. I selected "Magical Realism and the Fantastic in Latin America"...I was also able to mention the connection between Franz Kafka and Borges in one of our discussions. I was surprised to hear only three other students knew of Kafka. So, it felt kinda cool when the teacher asked if any of us knew of him, and I was able to give a quick synopsis on "The Metamorphosis" and how the grotesque and gothic novels relate to the idea of the "fantastic" in Borges' work, thanks to Ms. G. ^__^
I feel that Ms. G's class prepared me a lot for college level writing. Her classroom style is a lot like how the classes are here. You're given a syllabus and are expected to the assignments on the syllabus on your own. When I heard four pages, I was actually really excited because I've done a handful of those, haha. There is also a lot of help offered by the teachers.
