Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

Bizarre!

I just did my routine dump alcohol and vinegar mix in my ears (preventative against swimmer's ear) and I must've got a lot of water in there, though I couldn't feel it, because WOOODIZZY!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

aurelia, that's too funny! Is it a tie-in, or a shout-out?

I think Loki can read. He just bit me on the ass.

(He gets nippy when seeking attention/blissed out. Not skin breaking, but unnerving.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooh, how does that work? I started wondering about swimmers ear. Also, I routinely am dizzy when I come out of the water. Is that normal? I wondered if it was the lake currents, or just me?

I had a busy day. Business meeting first, then lots of communication, then haircut! and now I have more work to do, plus individual rehearsal.

I went to the new Target after work, which I probably shouldn't have done since I think I have a fever (and the only prescription is more cowbell?), but whatever. I picked up a cordless drill so I can finally install a new bi-fold door, and almost made it out with only that item. Until I went to the food section, where I also got Kona, some olive oil, and a jar of Vindaloo sauce.

Could've been worse.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I think it's good you're taking a break tonight, sarameg. As someone who has RSI, I've been worried about how much handwork you're doing while stripping and how much you hurt after doing it.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Is it a tie-in, or a shout-out?

I'm guessing it's a shout out. The movie is from the '70s and I think the actual pet food company is around 10 yrs old.

Liese, it's just half rubbing alcohol, half white vinegar. Works really well to get the water out and so far so good on not getting an ear infection of any sort or weird ear irritations (I'm prone to both.)

I think anyone unused to the sort of work I'm doing on the stairs would hurt as much as I do after. I'm usually good in a day or two if I do nothing.

Dude, the doll-furniture-making detective from the Wire is on Waking the Dead.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have ordered bao and yellow curry. I feel like a nexus of nummy.

I love the furniture making detective from The Wire! I've been having inappropriate feelings about him all week! Bon, you have to come back over soon so we can keep watching.

This week was so long. Longest four day week ever. But our go-no-go meeting this week was finally go, so we have a cutover weekend finally scheduled. I'm so glad. This has been in the works forever, and it's a huge deal, with an application rewritten from scratch with new backend and new platform for thousands of users. It's, like, the whole point of my contract employment coming to a head.

I love the furniture making detective from The Wire!

I love how he just quietly emerges in the first season. I REALLY need to start the second season.
