Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Is it a tie-in, or a shout-out?

I'm guessing it's a shout out. The movie is from the '70s and I think the actual pet food company is around 10 yrs old.

Liese, it's just half rubbing alcohol, half white vinegar. Works really well to get the water out and so far so good on not getting an ear infection of any sort or weird ear irritations (I'm prone to both.)

I think anyone unused to the sort of work I'm doing on the stairs would hurt as much as I do after. I'm usually good in a day or two if I do nothing.

Dude, the doll-furniture-making detective from the Wire is on Waking the Dead.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have ordered bao and yellow curry. I feel like a nexus of nummy.

I love the furniture making detective from The Wire! I've been having inappropriate feelings about him all week! Bon, you have to come back over soon so we can keep watching.

This week was so long. Longest four day week ever. But our go-no-go meeting this week was finally go, so we have a cutover weekend finally scheduled. I'm so glad. This has been in the works forever, and it's a huge deal, with an application rewritten from scratch with new backend and new platform for thousands of users. It's, like, the whole point of my contract employment coming to a head.

I love the furniture making detective from The Wire!

I love how he just quietly emerges in the first season. I REALLY need to start the second season.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Sophia, do you use Leechblock? I have it set to limit me to 10 minutes per hour on certain sites... But then I just end up using IE.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I'm sure anyone *would* hurt that much but it's important to rest or the tendons etc don't have time to heal.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

VACATION! YAY

Leaving work was weird today though.

Have a good time, Perkins!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I love the furniture making detective from The Wire! I've been having inappropriate feelings about him all week!

As JZ put it (after every episode), "{sigh} Oh, Lester Freemon. How can you be so awesome?"
