Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Come back, Nutty! Who else will nobly do battle with cheetahs on squash courts on your birthday?!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is depressing: 10 American Industries That Will Never Recover: 24/7 Wall Street (PHOTOS)

It has become clear that jobs in some industries may never come back or if they do it will take years or decades for a recovery....

Some of the industries are obvious. Detroit will never employ the number of people it did five years ago. Domestic car sales hit 16 million in 2005 and 2006. That number will be closer to 11.5 million in 2010. More cars and light vehicles are made overseas now, in places like Mexico, to keep labor costs down.

Home construction is another industry that will almost certainly not recover. Home inventories are still extremely high and home prices have fallen to the levels where they were in 2004. Prices in some markets, which include Las Vegas, Florida and parts of California have dropped 60% to 70%. New construction in those markets will not begin again in the foreseeable future.

Here is the list of the ten jobs categories that will not recover based on 24/7 Wall St. research....

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Hippo birdies, Nutty and Spidra.

As for the Universe - what everyone (especially Jesse) said, in spades. Not cool, Universe. Not cool.

related - I think anyone working with youth would do well to share info like this with them. Eldercare, green energy, recycling technologies - those seem like growing industries.

thanks, gals! i was thinking the same thing about jewelry, Vortex. the hair will more than likely be straight and i might try to do some ringlet curls here and there. my hair often has a mind of its own though. i'm also probably going to get a wrap or something since it will be october in chicago and i might be chilly.

I love the color too! i was hoping for a more eggplant-y color since that's one of her colors for the wedding, but i think this will look great too.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

And the damned timer didn't work so now it's not burned but it's definitely not moist. Dammit.

Spidra, can you brush it with booze and wrap it in a cloth for a while?

We overcooked the christmas cake last year in a similar not-burnt-but-dry way, and brushing it with whiskey several times (and keeping it wrapped up in between) totally took care of the problem. It was delicious.

eta: Happy birthdays to Spidra and Nutty!

Oh, I was wrong when I said the 2010rapture.org website was down. Turns out our wireless router needed to be rebooted.
