thanks, gals! i was thinking the same thing about jewelry, Vortex. the hair will more than likely be straight and i might try to do some ringlet curls here and there. my hair often has a mind of its own though. i'm also probably going to get a wrap or something since it will be october in chicago and i might be chilly.
I love the color too! i was hoping for a more eggplant-y color since that's one of her colors for the wedding, but i think this will look great too.

Spidra, can you brush it with booze and wrap it in a cloth for a while?
We overcooked the christmas cake last year in a similar not-burnt-but-dry way, and brushing it with whiskey several times (and keeping it wrapped up in between) totally took care of the problem. It was delicious.

That would be a great basis for a murder mystery. Someone loony who is following a Rapture predictor preacher is anxiously awaiting the day, nothing happens, so the loon kills the preacher because maybe the process needed a kickstart. Or a conman kills the preacher and hides the body so he can declare that only the preacher was holy enough to be Raptured and everyone else has been left behind.

My dad got into our family's genealogy after he retired and traced us back to Rottweil, Germany. Then he traveled there and had the local librarian call up random Schmehs until one woman dutifully came out to meet with him and discuss the family.
In America he traced us back to our first ancestor here, John Smay, who came over before the Revolutionary War. In Germany he went back to the 1400s once they got into the church records.
My paternal grandmother's maiden name was French and she came out of Wales so we think her line were Huguenots who came over from France.
My mom's side is Scots and came out of Maryland, well before the Civil War. Probably back to Colonial times.
