"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ugh, that's a way to ruin your morning. And now I want an Egg McMuffin. And even if I wanted to trek over to McD's, it's 11AM, so I can't have one. Wah!

Do you have Dunkin Donuts near you? They serve their breakfast sandwiches all day.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Panera Bread Co. serves breakfast food all day long, doesn't it?

yes, they could probably make me an egg sandwich on an english muffin with cheese and ham (or maybe even canadian bacon), but it wouldn't be the same.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Well, it would definitely cost four or five times as much.

It seems the spirit of Monica Geller has remained with me past my vacation weekend. I just ordered a pair of microfiber gloves for cleaning blinds and a bottle of foaming toilet cleaner. I did make myself back away from the $90 floor steamer once I read that you still have to scrub the floor afterward, though.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It would be much better!

Its covers were also unexpectedly unexpected

Considering the title, I'd think the covers would be predictably unexpected.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I need some rain barrels. I keep looking for end-of-season sales.

Ginger, have you checked Craigslist? [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I had, but not in the last few weeks. Thanks! One guy has a really good deal on the barrels per se.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can hear support over the cube wall trying to explain the @ symbol to the person on the phone. It's taking entirely too long. He's been going for two minutes. Technically, "over the 2" should work, no? If you've somehow lived under a rock and never heard an email address spelt out?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

No tears from Sara this morning! I'm celebrating with PopTarts.

Yeah! Go, Sara!

Today was the first day of school for the new year at Matilda's pre-school. She's graduated up in their marine-themed schema and is now a Stingray.

She was starting to get anxious about the change yesterday but both JZ and I took her in this morning and we whipped her up into a proper frenzy of excitement that it was a Special Day and that seemed to work.

So now all the little transitional weeks before new school years for Emmett and Matilda are done and the school year is officially started.

Next year she's in kindergarten which will be a trickier transition and I am not looking forward at all to the torturous school placement process of the SFUSD.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Shift-2, maybe?
