"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Owie. I hate splinters.

Six of twelve. Eleven. I had some mismeasurement, so I am back down. Rest, then cut, then back up.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My dinner tonight: Pepperoni Pizza Lean pocket, and a large glass of rather nice white wine.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am going to sleep in my bed for the first time since the run-awaying. fingers crossed he stays asleep all night.

I watched some adult tv tonight. excuse me while I go pass out from the shock of it all. or better yet, I will go read my library book in my bed. My own bed, which is not a single bed, in my own room. I am very fancy.

msbelle, enjoy your sleeping alone!

We just got back from the aquarium. Our membership expires tomorrow (which makes me super sad, but during the school year things can be more complicated) so we went to the late night at the aquarium. It was a clusterfuck of stupid.

My kids enjoyed it though: [link]

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Whew! Finished. Twelve of twelve. I put the broken one in a non-people-weight-bearing spot, at the SO`s suggestion. I am super pleased with myself, as I am not a handy person. I would like to be, but I`m not. Anyway, it is done! Tomorrow I will go through my boxes and put them up there and I will be so happy to have my closet space.

I could see where I could put one more set of four, but really, this is pretty good. And I changed the lightbulbs up there which were stealth incandescents, one of which had already burned out, to compact flourescents. I think there are probably incandescents in the crawlspace too.

AND I found the manual for our furnace...on top of the furnace. So I call it total win!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Watched through to episode five of the wire. Bon was right--this is where it goes from a theoretically good show to "Oh. Oooh." I was very amused by the fuck CSI scene, and by the amount of tension they can ratchet up with absolutely no violence--with all the violence happening elsewhere.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My kids enjoyed it though:

Looks like fun was had by all! Cute!

I am awake because Olivia's sleep is all screwed up. I let Christopher talk me into not taking her to urgent care yesterday. Mild fever and sore throat. I suspect strep. She's watching Backyardigans and sipping some 7-Up.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If Ski Teal We Drop is part of the Swiss collection, then that's what I have on my nails right now! (Toes are From A to Zurich, which is a very nice pink but not as awesome as the teal. Oh well, I can barely see my toes these days anyway.)

My morning so far has involved Reading All The Internets and Drinking All The Coffee while Dylan Watches All The TV. Between the baseball game yesterday and staying up to watch Mad Men, I'm completely wiped.
