"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ahhh, just got back from a great weekend of swimming and hiking at Lake Pickwick. Nothing exciting happened, but it was a great relaxing trip.

Sadly it did not live up to my eye candy expectations for a marina-heavy lake resort (based on a combo of original recommendation of the place by Sexy Bartender Friend and my recent viewing of Piranha 3-D) though. I was the hottest shirtless guy at the beach, and the resort was hosting a class of 1955 reunion. Oh well, at least septuagenarians and I share an appreciation for quiet relaxation and courteous greetings.

My quest for great tasting mint tea like Moroccan restaurants on the coasts serve is now complete: the Jewish grocery in Memphis had Royal brand peppermint tea, which I am now sipping contentedly.

Cuz I do.

Because books.

There was a commercial for something called Universal Technical Institute on just now. They were advertising themselves as UTI. Did no one tell them that's a urinary tract infection?!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Perkins, tell me what you've already read, and what you prefer, and I'll totally look out for you and sift my delicious.

God, I'm still hungry?

Crank 2 should calm that down, eh? At least the room's ready to be Roombaed.

I've read almost nothing current*. SPN or Sherlock or Sportsnight, or maybe inception if I manage to see it.

The stuff I've read is tagged with something other than to_read.

I will look through for you, Perkins.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Bummer, Sue. I am impressed with the living-in-the-future aspect of the whole thing, though...

Today is the day I want to go to the beach, but of course, it's the least warm of the three-day weekend. Hmph. I'm going anyway. I have no other plans and need to see the ocean.
