I am at my parents. My power was out, the buses were running, and I decided that I may as well come tonight as tomorrow. We were chasing the storm the whole way, so once it was dark we drove through a lot of places without power. Which was kind of eerie.

I am going a little crazy not knowing if power is back at my place or not. Our utility has a outage map, but most of halifax is out, and it's reporting isn't 100% accurate. It was saying the power was out in my neighborhood earlier, when I did have power. So it is now saying the power is restored, but I don't know if I should believe it. I may have a lot of food to throw out on Tuesday.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Wow, sarameg. Yeah, those people sound like utter shitheads.

There's a SportsNight book?

I hope your power goes back on soon, Sue.

Because books.

I could, and sometimes do, watch HGTV, or have it on in the background, all day. I have a bit of a crush on Genevieve Gorder, too.

Ugh, Sue. I hope the storm passes soon, and your power comes back even sooner. I will say that I know it's a typo, but I like "decoded" instead of plain old "decided". It's all stealthy and mysterious.

It's all stealthy and mysterious.

As I am...not.

The power outages map and twitter feed makes me think that my power is on, but I won't know until I get back on Tuesday and ask a neighbor how long it was out. It's a little crazymaking.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Do you have an answering machine, Sue?

I think they were in the Canton neighborhood?

South of me on the waterfront. Huge gentrification area many years in. I wonder if it was the same program who my realtor suggested me to but I demurred a year ago? (No desire to be on reality tv...) It was something about the homebuying experience, and she was all "you are the perfect person for this. You had a crazy amazing fit and process. " This, while I was in Bhutan. It was surreal.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's a SportsNight book?

No, it's a fic. Long AU slash, nice and teasy and then smutty. Thumbs up, A--, would read again.

No, I used telco provided voicemail.

I could keep schedulling shows on the TiVo online and see if they come back as received on the TiVo.

That sounds like a good idea. Very clever.

Oh lord, that just triggered a dream I had this morning: I was trying to get to the market, but I was living in my old place. I managed it somehow and walked back along Coldspring and Wabash. It occurs to me that other than during the big presidents' day storm many years ago, I never walked around my old neighborhood and now do it all the time. Anyway, the walk was stressful, and clearly I was close enough to wakefulness to alleviate that: as I approached the apartments, there was some sort of flea market going on, including postcards and petitions supporting local candidates. I demurred, saying I was moving in months. I was so happy to wake up in my house!

Freaky.
