Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Anyone want to help me think about shoes? I did go to DSW and came back with three pairs. Oops. One is these, for commuting, so that's fine.

One is these in black patent, and I LOVE them, but they were a little expensive, given I don't know what they are really for. Dress-up day at work, I guess. Or general winter dress-up. I kind of feel like I should return them, but I love them!

The last one is the real question, and of course I can't find them online. I need shoes to wear with a navy dress to a wedding next weekend, so I was looking for silver (not gold, to wear with navy, right?). I got some slingback pumps that are "aluminum" color, pointy toe, brown heel. I'm afraid maybe they aren't dressy enough, and maybe I should get something more like these, but satin??

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Wait, those require a VCR. Hmm.

-t got there first, but yeah - I was thinking of a unit with both VHS and DVD recording built in. If you were more local, I could lend you one from my office but I don't think my boss would be too keen on my shipping one to LA.

OK, here's a cellphone picture of the last shoes: [link]

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Jesse, I think those shoes are perfectly dressy enough for a wedding.

OK, thanks! I was afraid I was in a fugue state of buying for a minute there. I was hoping for a cute red pedi, which now wouldn't be seen, but oh well. Maybe I'll try Filene's Basement tomorrow, but I do hate shopping.

Because books.

I like those, too, Jesse.

Thanks!

I don't think I can explain how awesome the Cole Haan ones are in person. They are like my ulitmate pump.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been told that Cole Haans are just crazy comfortable and that they're all I should be wearing. Are they that good, or is that my status-obsessed branch of the family going on again (apparently I should also only carry Coach bags, yadda yadda)?

Note: TJ's Chicken Tikka Masala? That's not two servings. Liards.

I hear good things about Cole Haans, but I also find aerosoles very comfy for my flat feet.

Cute silvery shoes, Jesse! If the Cole Haan shoes are your perfect pump, then for sure keep em.

I applied for a passport for Grace today. It took less than 20 minutes from beginning to end. Of course it took two days to get a passport photo. The special needs 3 year old doesn't want to sit still or look at the camera. But the application process wasn't so bad. I had to sign and affadavit explaining why I am allowed to get a passport for her without her father even though there isn't one listed on the passport.
