Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I can't stop creating roller derby names.

'Cuz you're awesome at it! You should think up roller derby names for msbelle and ita and rio.

I can't believe Skanky McFarland hasn't been registered. Maybe too obscure?

Generational thing, I expect.

sarameg, I think you're pretty photogenic.

But I don't want to be taller just for the pants!

Right, there's the whole looming thing which is hard to do at 5'4".

Oooh, look how I snuck the quotes marks inside the end-stop there.

not your mom's socks.

At just under 5'1", I think I can safely say pants must not fit anyone.

Very much this. Though I'm currently liking a pair of Columbia hiking pants. I think they're supposed to be cropped though. NSM, and I'm fine with that.

Right, there's the whole looming thing which is hard to do at 5'4".

Oh we can loom. It's just subtle.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I could be a roller derby coach, not so much a skater.

Oh yeah, msbelle would rock at that!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I just realized that Google Maps has at least two streets wrong in my neighborhood. Both of them are dead ends that the map shows continuing and intersecting other streets. I remember the GPS getting one of them wrong, too, when it said to keep going on a street that ended. Weird.

There may have been an extension planned at some point that never happened.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Right, there's the whole looming thing which is hard to do at 5'4".

Says you. I am AWESOME at looming at 5'4". Really. I am.

OK, so Miss Taylor friended me on facebook. We are gonna have a Talk about image and the internet. It's pretty tame stuff and she's got her profile locked up pretty tight, but she's only 15, and I am an old fogey. She may not want her bikini cheesecake profile photo out in the ether when she's networking for school, you know? (Nevermind my OH MY LITTLE GIRL thing happening....)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I looked up directions from my office to somewhere once and they had you drive up the stairs, across the plaza, through the lobby of the 80-story building. That was built in the late 70s. Then you made a right turn on Columbus and went south for a mile, a trick that would require going from Upper Columbus to Lower Columbus apparently by way of driving off the bridge, Dukes of Hazzard style.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Says you. I am AWESOME at looming at 5'4". Really. I am.

Bah. You're just leaning. It's a whole different vibe.
