Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

hip deep in pie

September in Nova Scotia is not supposed to be like this.

You are so right, Ouise!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

AUGH, person who is sharing my office made it in before I did this morning and has turned on ALL THE LIGHTS!

I can't see! I'm blinded! I'm possibly grumpy and sleepy!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I love ACV, it is all my mother used in vinaigrettes when I was growing up, so even now cucumber and tomato salads just don't seem right without it.

I make my salad dressings with a mixture of sherry and apple cider vinegar. Nom nom nom.

(I keep plain old white vinegar around for cleaning, but I don't cook with it unless I'm pickling something.)

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

You are so right, Ouise!

I guess we have to put up with it until the hurricane gets here. Something to look forward to?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ouch, Sue. How did that happen?

I have a TV protagonist question. I'm trying to think of shows where the protagonists indulge in self-centred crime. So Leverage and Burn Notice don't count, because they're doing it for other people (I guess Michael's quest to find out who burned him would have counted, but he's not really doing that anymore). So far I have Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Breaking Bad, that show with the pot selling, True Blood (I'm assuming), White Collar (for his Kate-related shenanigans)...what else?

Do you mean Suzi?

I am supposed to go to CB and visit my family this weekend, but have been dithering. If we're going to have a direct hit, I'd rather be at my house, in case something happens.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Sopranos, that Michael Chiklis cop show.
