"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

All the cel phone stuff makes me want to Nilly my post where I was all, Oh, I only want a device if it does ALL this stuff. But now it does. Convergence, baby. That was only a few short years ago.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Not that I will, but I could.

I will, because I should.

There. I fixed it.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Washing fruits when brought into the house, especially oranges and bananas, will help prevent fruit fly explosions. I keep a small vase with cider vinegar on the counter next to my compost crock.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Citrus peels seem to be a major source of fruit flies, in my experience.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Jstor just crashed.

I was in the middle of a multi-tabs quest after a reference for a rare text from the 16th century.

I want to hurt someone.

Edit: it's alive! Rejoice, rejoice! Oh, and apparently it helps to make puppy eyes at the screen. I would have add weeping voices, but I'm in the library, and should keep it professional. Or so I've been told.

And now, back with Philotheus of Pskov.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Argh! I just talked to the IRS, and I shouldn't even think of looking for my Dad's return until October. I just want to get the estate finalized and go on with my life. This whole being fiscally responsible for things that affect other people in my family sucks.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Ugh, Calli, sounds like a drag.

Grace woke me up at 4:00 with an alarming monitor. I think we've gotten a bad sensor. I'm going to need to remember to order more when I order supplies.

In other news? Apple Cider Vinegar, apparently, is the bomb! It will speed up digestion. I have learned that reflux is not from too much acid, usually, but from too little. So if you can speed up gastric emptying then you can avoid reflux. So, ACV it is!

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Because books.

Gronk. It's Wednesday, right?

We had our first tears this morning. Sara had a great first day at school yesterday, but we drove her because they didn't have bus info yet. This morning she panicked about riding a new bus and not knowing how to get to her classroom. Poor noodle.
