I also love that it's set to the tune of the song (To Anacreon in Heaven) of a London drinking and (probably) sex club.
I thought it was God Save the Queen.

Wait, or is it My Country Tis of Thee that's set to God Save the Queen? Am confused about our Loyalty patriotic songs.
I don't really remember thinking much about the pledge in school, we did it everyday in elementary school, I can't remember in middle school, and I know we didn't do it in high school. It was just part of the routine, and it didn't mean much because of that.
God Save the Queen.
She ain't no human being.
(sorry)
I thought it was God Save the Queen.
I think that's My Country Tis of Thee
My Country Tis of Thee is the same as God Save the Queen.
I think that's My Country Tis of Thee
Yeah, I edited, but not quickly enough for my super-speedy Buffistae!

I currently teach middle school, but when I was at a HS 4 years ago, we said it there, too.
Speaking of teaching...gotta go do that now!
I went to high school in the People's Republic of Cambridge, so there was no pledging allegiance to anything.
