Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am glad it turned out well, msbelle!

That's how it works, doesn't it? Next time there's a major meltdown, I'll gently remind you (if I remember) that it can mean a reprieve since he's vented his spleen enough for the moment, if you think that will let you let go of the mad. Not always true, sure, especially if he's working on a good head of mad. And more than a little frustrating (it works you up, and him out, so imbalance of emotions.)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

AND I just paid off and cancelled a credit card!

Yay for paid off bill! But Suze Orman says that, unless you have a ton of credit cards, it looks better on your credit score if you pay off the card but don't cancel it. (I don't know if other financial people say different. I was just reading that section, so it was still in my brain.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And I like cheese. Just...don't fry it.

I had fish, which must automatically lower my cholesterol, right? We won't mention the sauce I made with a tiny bit of butter and a splash of heavy cream.

You're from New Orleans, that might be as low cholesterol as you can safely go.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I just went to Staples for the one thing on Sara's school supply list I couldn't find at Kmart. The line was literally 40 people. It looked like people camping out for concert tickets.

I put it off until two hours before Olivia's open house. Which was a good thing because I got my Staples Rewards check in the mail today--$10 off! Got everything for both kids for $65 so I'm calling it a win.

Except I couldn't find non-perforated, wide-ruled, single subject notebooks. WTF?

Because books.

Yay, msbelle! I swear, that's how it always works.

Except I couldn't find non-perforated, wide-ruled, single subject notebooks. WTF?

Like composition books?

They asked for spiral notebooks but the non-perf kind. They're all perfed now!

oh, I got my Staples rebate gift card in the mail today too. $30. YAY!

In mac's bedtime story the lead character is hung up on not doing anything unless he can win it or be the best and I was telling mac that he is a bit like that, that he doesn't want to work at getting better and that he is often very hard on himself. yeah, that second point there...pot, kettle. ah the lessons we need to listen to ourselves.

Try CVS or someplace similar for the non-perforated notebooks, maybe. I know I've gotten some there before.
