Happy birthday, meara!
Back from my swim and unsuccessful trip to IKEA. My arms are kinda sore. I guess almost swimming 6 miles in 3 days will do that. Mister Kitty is back to his usual self, so I'm sure he had a blood sugar crash. Scary, especially since I have no idea what caused it. I think I'll reduce his dose tonight and tomorrow.
Had chorizo empanadas and melon for dinner.
Ikea here has been useless lately. I am back from vacation and I have a cold. Bleh. And in am stressed because i can't get into my work email. What horrors await me tomorrow?! Am hoping if something truly horrible happened someone would have called me.

Are the Emmy's on tonight?
Today's bluebird of happiness has been replaced by the bluejay of cat taunting and poking about my deck.
Also, Nascar racing in partial French is hysterical and rather lovely. There's a race in Montreal, which is a gorgeous track, and I am so amused watching it. Delayed on my dvr, but I still watched all of the prerace because it was in French, then English.
Yes.
Excellent!
And the AWESOME thing is, I have a DVR now, so I can tape Leverage!

Possibly the funniest conversation today involved my mother trying to understand erinaceous's column about Hulk tweets. "Is Twitter always all caps??" "No, mom -- the Hulk is." [link]
Ha, I didn't realize there were so many different Hulk Twitters besides FeministHulk.

Not quite last.
I'm starting to see a trend. For jobs that pay very little, I am handed a bottle of wine with my check. Is this so that I develop a hobby/habit for when I'm destitute?
Brenda's sister sends a thank you to all of us for our concern. She found it reassuring.
