This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've managed to have a Sarameg kind of a morning, productivity wise. I've done 8 loads of laundry, and put away about 2 of them, done some cleaning, gone to the mall to use my Gap Groupon, bought crap I didn't need at Cost Plus, including my new favorite mug (picture of Einstein with an "I love coffee" mug with "Coffee makes me smart" printed on the handle), reminded myself I didn't need to go to Old Navy too, and gone to TJs.

Now I am going to rest a bit and eat lunch, then clean some more before JZ gets here at 3:30 to look at the box of nail polish.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If anyone would like to see some pictures of old planes, I have photos from my aviation museum trip up here: [link]

Those are cool!

I was making an unhappy face as I was slicing up some fennel because the licorice smell was quite pungent, and I don't like me some licorice. Mixed with the rest of the salad, however, the licorice taste is much more muted, so go team trying new things.

Nice pictures, Calli! It was fun to see so many of my old friends in one place.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, meara!

I had a nice day with the family, although I would have loved more outside time and less time in the car. Still nice, though!

Happy birthday, meara!

Back from my swim and unsuccessful trip to IKEA. My arms are kinda sore. I guess almost swimming 6 miles in 3 days will do that. Mister Kitty is back to his usual self, so I'm sure he had a blood sugar crash. Scary, especially since I have no idea what caused it. I think I'll reduce his dose tonight and tomorrow.

Had chorizo empanadas and melon for dinner.

Punishingly Intricate

Ikea here has been useless lately. I am back from vacation and I have a cold. Bleh. And in am stressed because i can't get into my work email. What horrors await me tomorrow?! Am hoping if something truly horrible happened someone would have called me.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Today's bluebird of happiness has been replaced by the bluejay of cat taunting and poking about my deck.

Also, Nascar racing in partial French is hysterical and rather lovely. There's a race in Montreal, which is a gorgeous track, and I am so amused watching it. Delayed on my dvr, but I still watched all of the prerace because it was in French, then English.
