meara, I hope folks show up! I sympathize. I've always had problems with getting stood up for my bday. I'm currently looking at the Facebook invite and fretting. It doesn't help that I hardly know anyone in LA anymore.

When Kelly was 3 or 4 some friends had a Goldrush Retriever (think golden with more muscle) named Friday. I will forever remember the afternoon he decided to lean against Kelly and pin her to the wall of the house. Wish we had recorded it. I'd show it every Christmas.

Well, I like it now that I've encountered some that tasted good! Previous attempts were at best nothing special...kind of like Mexican food (edible, but nothing I'd seek out).

This weekend will be spent as past weekends: praying for some letup from the heat so I can get some unpacking done. Also praying for some letup from the RSI, which had me in bed all day today.
Gonna try to scan in some pics now so I can get rid of some second string ephemera I have lying around.
