Matt, you didn't like Indian food!? Crazy man! I know you enjoy food, and Indian food is delish!
My plan foe the weekend: hope some damn body shows up at my house for my birthday party tomorrow night. Am feeling cranky at the number of friends who can't come.
I randomly decided to dig a bottle of wine out of the shed - my "cellar" has been boxed up for at least three years, looks like 4 cases though I think one of those is at least partially not wine. 2005 Hagafen Sauvignon Blanc. Tastes pretty good, which bodes well for all of it not being ruined by my slapdash storage methods.
Amyth, much ma to your brother and yourself.
I am making a sauce from real tomatoes for the first time ever. There are still a lot of seeds in there, despite me trying to deseed the tomatoes.
We are almost to Houston. I woke up earlier to find that hubby did not know that you don't go through Austin to get to Houston.
I will not kill him.
This weekend? I have the boy all weekend when I was hoping to sleep as much as possible. Not that I don't love having him around, I was just looking forward to some quiet time with no one else around.
Instead there is karate group class and then a demo over at the Denver Convention Center. There will be house cleaning and some work. And I'm still determined to work in as much sleep as possible.
So in the ongoing saga of my crazy ex-BF, her disappearance from the wedding: I checked one of my email accounts that I never use yesterday, and there was an email from CEBF, written during the time of the wedding dinner. She said how she thinks of me warmly, and how I appear in her dreams all the time, and through her many years of Jungian analysis, she knows that I am a positive symbol in her dreams.
She did not mention once why she bailed on the wedding.
The polite me feels I should respond, but I really don't know what to say. I was glad we could have a pleasant exchange ove the weekend, but really don't want to open the door and let her back in my life.
Much NO MORE DRAMA for your brother, amyth. That's freaky.
Sue, I'd keep her at a safe distance.
I think the pleasant exchange already fulfills any obligation to politely respond you might have. You're done.
Much good resolution~ma to your brother, amyth.
So what are people doing this weekend?
I have a flying club field trip tomorrow. We're flying from Sanford, NC, to Hickory, NC, to visit an aviation museum of some sort. And then we're going to Charlotte for a different one. I didn't really pay attention to the details, as my main goal is to spend a goodly chunk of Saturday flying around the state in a small plane. I won't be doing the flying, but it should still be fun. We'll be taking a Mooney M20J, one of the club's few retractable-gear planes.
6 more spindles stripped. I was all congratulatory that these went faster, but then, half were already half to a quarter done. Duh. Now they get harder to do.
I really need to start on detail work and the stain soon.
