DH was talking about that. Ours will definitely be old enough for a fun trip next year.
In Bellaire, they dug their own nightcrawlers, fished off the dock, played with the worms, caught two toads, watched a garter snake and went canoeing and swimming.
Lots of fun!
Or you could send the kids off to UP and the adults to Vegas...
So you bought multiples of shoe styles that fit and are comfortable ... this is a problem because?
I believe the disapproval came because I wasn't buying fuschia heels or being 'more creative' with my shoe wardrobe.
A girlfriend once nominated me for 'What Not to Wear' (I'm not even half as bad as all that) with an exasperated, "She doesn't know a THING about shoes!"
I just assumed that meant I should turn in my 'girl' card.
I've learned to be okay with the lack of that particular skill. I just wish I enjoyed them as much as other people do. For instance, I love Glamcookie's shoe pics. It just seems like so much fun.
Then again, some people like roller coasters and I'm TOTALLY okay without that little pleasure.
Finally, a bumper sticker for me! [link] (The blue one. I mean, I like the other 2, but I may just have to buy the blue one.)
That middle one is, like, my
life.
Just finished making this with red curry sausage instead of chorizo. I hope it's good.

That middle one is, like, my life.
Mine too. I went from being an honor student in high school to getting three C+'s in a row in college to getting on academic probation in grad school.
Grease
is on AMC right now. I am so. very. happy.
Yeah, I don't really feel the shoe love, either. Shoes sort of fall under the same heading as horses and dancing—things that make other people happy and that I hope they'll have as much of as they could ever want.
Random: One line of a song, the rest of which will never be written: "I need a tough-love editor who knows you have to be cruel to be kind."
