Hey y'all. Finally have internet access (thanks, Starbucks). I have skipped and skimmed. What have I missed over the last few days?
It has been a great trip so far. Good drive, wonderful visits with family and friends, and I finally got to help my girl move into her dorm room. First time in her college career. All that is next on the calendar is dinner with dad, work in my old office Monday and then dinner with a friend. More work on Tuesday before hopping my 1pm flight back home.
A quote from Leif just a bit earlier today.
"And when I get my medical degree, my idea will make me the most famous person in the history of the Earth."
Someday some woman will probably have to deal with that ego.
When we were kids, my brother and I used to talk about how when we were grown up we were each going to be millionaires and/or President.
So far that hasn't happened yet. Somewhat unrelatedly, we would often make bets where the loser had to pay the winner "all the money in the world", or worse yet, "all the money in the world plus one dollar."
Liese and I have the same colors to choose from. But I wear primarily red and white and black and grey so I'm okay with whatever.
We're off to go to a party. yay!
Lady was a no show for the bed. Hate that. I have emailed the next on the list.
Darnit. I did NOT, in fact, win the lottery last night. Stupid West Virginia. Why do the winners always come from West Virginia?? What's up with that??!?! I think it's a conspiracy!
It's probably karmic balance for the coal mining.
it is. a hillbilly conspiracy.
so using megan walker's budget template - 98% of my money is allotted each month on mandatory expenses. I am $200 in the whole each month at this point. Next month, because of COBRA payments that will go to $1900. So my parents want to talk money with me tomorrow. do not like this part of the grown-up thing.
msbelle, is it all just temporary until your NY place sells though?
Oh, ugh, msbelle, it sounds like we have the same budget. I'm very sorry.
Kidisms, West Coast Edition:
Matilda and I were lying in bed cuddling, as I was trying to get her down for a nap. She patted my face lovingly and said, "Mommy, I like that you have hairs in your nose. I don't have any, but maybe when I am a grown-up. Daddy has hairs in his nose but I don't see them because when he lies down he turns over and I only see his back. But I can see your hairs in your nose. They're very pretty. And I like that you have two holes in your nose. They're pretty and lovely. I love them both."
Thanks?
Um. She really has a thing for hair in personal locations, doesn't she?
