Every nightmare I have that doesn't revolve around academic failure or public nudity is about that thing. In fact, once I dreamt that it attacked me while I was late for a test and naked.

hip deep in pie

I hope your dad is doing okay Aurelia, and that it's a minor thing.

Sigh. I have to start getting ready for this wedding. It's over 2 hours away. You'd think I was the bride.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, house setup is expensive. We are still paying on about 9000 of credit card debt. But it wasn`t all stuff that goes in the house, a lot of it was the house itself. We thought we were going to get more in our mortgage, so this was build stuff we put on the card during construction, expecting to get repaid from the construction loan draws. But then after the appraisal, the bank approved a slightly lower percentage of the whole than we thought. This was ok, and actually good, because it meant we were able to take a conventional loan and we were not required to get mortgage insurance. But it meant we ended up with a lot of credit card debt when we don`t use credit cards anymore. The SO successfully negotiated a lower rate and payoff plan, though, otherwise it`d be killing us.

It`s kinda crazy, though, when you think about the current climate, we would never be able to get a loan at all today, being self-employed the way we are and not making a ton. So I am okay with the debt because I feel very fortunate to be in this amazing house. And we`re paying it off! Second jobs and the whole bit, but we`re paying it off.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Healthma to Aurelia's dad.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Okay, I just talked to my dad. They kept him overnight but he's out now. Diagnosis was a-fib and he now has to take daily aspirin. That's all good. I still need to figure out how to train my parents to call me when shit happens.

Because books.

I'm glad you got to talk to him, aurelia.

I want to spend the day looking at pictures of Joseph Gordon Levitt and Tom Hardy. I can do that, right?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I hope your dad's OK, aurelia.

I just went grocery shopping. Not having to think about how much stuff I can carry home is awesome. Also gassed up my car. Self-service gas stations, not so awesome.

Thanks for the -ma for my dad.

I seem to have missed the memo on Tom Hardy. Is it because I haven't seen Inception yet? I saw him in person, nearly naked, on a daily basis for a couple of weeks earlier this year and I wasn't feeling the oost at all.

::faints::

It's probably because you haven't seen Inception. It was for me, anyway. I'd never heard of him before I saw it.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Store them in the fridge, but eat them as soon as possible (they lose some sweetness as they age).

If you can grill them, do. Otherwise just dump them in boiling water, cover, and leave them there for 8-10 minutes.
