You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Starting out the second day in Amsterdam. A cousin I haven't yet met who lives in Rotterdam is taking me out to Zaanse Schans.

The flight over the Atlantic wasn't bad, but I wasn't able to sleep for more than 15 minutes at a time. The in-flight entertainment wasn't much good, so I'm glad I had my own computer and music and reading material. Arrived at local breakfast time and managed the train and tram connections to get to the hotel okay, but they hadn't arranged for early check-in, so I napped in their lobby until lunch time. In theory I could have left my bags with them and gone touring, but I didn't feel up to it.

Once I got checked in I slept for three hours, which made a huge difference, so I strolled through the neighborhoods around the hotel. I've posted some pictures on Flickr.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh gosh, we only had three days in Amsterdam, but I miss it probably more than places we actually lived. Enjoy it!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

John Hamm's date's dress doesn't fit her. Good thing she's with him because he distracts!

That's Mary Lynn Rajskub (from 24). His GF is Jennifer Westfeldt, from Kissing Jessica Stein.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Enjoy Amsterdam, dcp! Haven't been for years, but I loved it.

ita, showing bra through sheer would be fine not at work. At work, wear a cami. Showing cami is fine. However, if it were a backlrss shirt, like I first envisioned, then no, bra strap would not be acceptable.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You know, if I went to Amsterdam, the first thing I'd do is have a LEGAL toke. First for the symbolic value, but also to see if the high is what I remember.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

The punishment fits the crime: you want to draw all over both side of your bedroom door? Fine. But you will spend the morning washing all of the doors in the house.
