And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

Sara doesn't seem to be getting the big tips.

Ongoing health-ma to Drew and to amyth's brother.

Msbele, I am glad for people that you connect with.

So I went to a party tonight ahead of a wedding of an old friend. I was surprised how few people there I knew, but it was good to see the ones I did...Except that my former best friend, with whom I haven't spoken in 6 years was also there. So that was awkward, if civil. She was the one who came up to me and started talking, so props to her.

The other funny thing is that the bride, D, looks a LOT like my friend's university girlfriend, G. And I was walked in, scanned the room and thought, "There's G. But where's D?" And of course it was actually D I was looking at.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Christina's hair looks very orange in those shots, but I'm willing to chalk it up to lighting/camera because it usually looks fabulous. I can't believe she's a blonde.

Lily Tomlin looks like she's kneeling.

I need to find out where CH gets her foundation garments. I'm not that curvy, but. Of course, probably ridic pricy.

Man, I'm tired.

What is going on with your place Msbelle? Because I was going to mention it to the groom's brother tonight (He lives in Astoria.) but I wasn't sure if it was sold or not.

Also, a New Yorker mocked me tonight for coughing into my elbow...he said it was too polite.

I have a signed contract, but she has not been interviewed by the board yet, so they could still decline her. So, just waiting at this point.

That was just a rude NYer, I totally coughed into my elbow while there and taught mac to do the same.

Because books.

Aw, I love Christian Siriano! Do you hate him or his dresses, Kat? Christina does look great.

I got stuck for a minute on John Hamm, but Alan Cummings is adorable. Very few people could carry off that look.

amyth, all kinds of health~ma for your brother.

I can strip a spindle in 15 minutes. Taping and cutting plastic and applying take longer. So I figure I'll do that for 3 more tomorrow, so I can knock out 3 more on Monday night. And then take a day. There are 53 of these bastard. And I've done, what? 13. And still haven't done the top rail and post. That's another couple weekends there. At least.

shocker that I am so deep in the hole 5 weeks after arrival: $233 at local hardware store, $124 Target (that is after returning some things), $148 BB&B, $106 Ross, $87 Petsmart, $103 Container store, $82 Staples (school supplies), and $325 in groceries. Good lord. Am stopping. No more shopping for a while. Even what I got at garage sales adds up to more than $100. Ack!

oh! and $177 at Ikea and $150 at JoAnns Fabrics (on lamps actually).

It took me two hours, but I now have a vat of tomato sauce. Just about everything that went in were fresh ingredients from the CSA. And now I only have... 12 tomatoes.

Seriously, they're breeding in the cupboard, aren't they?
