I got up late, got mac to the grandparents' for Sat cartoons, got DD ice latte and came home. Tiny bit of clean up in the garage and now it is time to go back over there and pick him up. I want to piddle around my house all day alone.
My newly applied and painted nails are not conducive to the yardwork I need to do, nor to the moving of piles of bricks from my garage that I need to do, nor to the deconstruction of shelves and moving of closet rod that I also need to do. I'd rather just go shop, but alas, no money.
I'm looking at half-packed boxes and considering researching rituals to summon the moving fairy.
So wish I were closer.
OH! I did unpack another box today. one in the garage.
I think my transformation into grumpy old man is nearly complete. I stopped by a local breakfast place on my way to work this morning and when people who came in after me got jumped forward in line, I just turned on my heel and stormed out of the place.
Tolerance for bullshit now holding steady at 0%.
I should probably get in on this round of the polish exchange; I have a ton of great colors I never use, and surely someone else can get some pleasure and use out of them.
I'm doomed, in regard to nail polish - Marshalls and T.J. Maxx sporadically have OPI - and OPI for Nicole - polish. Doomed - I've gotten some nice colors and went a little crazy when they had some black with metallic colored particles - black with green (which looks dark green in strong light), black with cyan-blue, black with purple-y particles, and a brown/copper. All sold in pairs for, I think, $7. Sigh ... don't have the time or patience to apply them all (oh, woe ... my diamond nails are chipped)
Vibing healing and strength to Drew and Kristin.
I'm in the hospital. Again. The good news is that they don't think it's any of the things they worry most about post surgery. The bad news is that they don't have a clue what it is. He's feeling fine this morning, so they are doing an MRI and trying to determine what has been causing the pain. Depending on what they find, we may be out of here by tonight, or they may have to do exploratory surgery.
Continuing ~ma to Suzi's cousin - way to recover, girl! - and let-it-be-nothing~ma to Drew.
Um, anyone know how to get skunk-smell out of a cat's fur? El Gato Estupido kicked a screen out of a half-opened window last night and escaped. Apparently he discovered that his nemesis was not in fact a black-and-white cat. Now he smells of skunk - and consequently so does my house - and he seems rather depressed about the whole thing.
All I know (second hand) is the old folk remedy of tomato juice. I don't know how to get tomato juice out of a cat's fur.
