Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

This is mesmerizing: [link]

That is insane! I've seen one of those before, and I think I've done the the thing where you can slide it above and below your hand, but that motherfucker defies gravity and shit.

I don't like being told I have to bring the system down by 5 at 3:30 when I have to leave at 5. Which means I have to take my computer home and bring the system back UP from home, and that is always chancy. Ahrg.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

amyth, did you see that Kaferine is queen of the GH bldg? Unless she was joking, it's hard to tell with her.

I am so cranky. Gah.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I THINK she was joking, but it is totally hard to tell. I thought we were joking with each other about how lame Foursquare was. But maybe she was telling me how great Foursquare was. Um. Sometimes she and I are having two conversations.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

amyth, I thank you, and my sister thanks you.

I spent my lunch break buying, amongst other things, a cable to charge my phone from my computer.

It doesn't work.

Who threw away the packaging and the receipt before she even got back to the office?

Oy.

I do this to myself.

Coding and Sleeping

Shoot. My aunt's computer is acting up. The thing is made of old parts and has trudged on for a long time, but the end might finally be in sight.

I have a spare computer but it's a G5 iMac, and she's used to Windows and very computer illiterate. Is a PPC Mac still viable as a computer for a few years, or is the age of PPC Macs really past. Man I wish it was an Intel Mac.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Kat, I've totally done the mall in the summer thing. Good times.

hip deep in pie

I am back from the wilds of Cape Breton and a strange family vacation. We were staying in these rented cottages. There are six cottages there, but we were the only renters. Someone was there to check us in on Sunday and then they left and were didn't see them again all week. They just left the office open for us. It was very weird.

I also realized that my mom's dementia is worse than I thought, and she won't talk to the Doctor about it. (nor her deafness nor her cataract) I think some kind of intervention may be necessary.
