Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Yeah, he was all "Um...so they're going to be here over Labor Day to see this sick friend" to which I was all "She can stay at her sister's but M is welcome to stay here."

That's when he told be she had thought it would be "easier" to stay here. He was all "I hoped you would say that..."

Non-issue. But all 4 of us are supposed to skype tonight about some back to school stuff, and I am just going to be all "M will have fun over here while you guys are at J's!!"

And if that ain't broad enough for her, a pleasant "I don't think we have enough room" will suffice.

(And if that ain't enough, a "For the love of FUCK, woman! WE HATES THE PRECIOUS!!" will be forthcoming. We are plenty civil. But I don't want to host you.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

She is rather shiny.

Oooh, mod!

Shiny in the literal sense!

Oh have you been watching old Dr. Who episodes?

Wanda in the sixties.

She's cute in the sixties, but stunning in 1970.

Pretty eyes.

Oh, the mod outfit is from The Prisoner.

That's sweet of you, Jesse!

Two more spindles stripped. Not applying more stripper tonight. I'll give myself one night off from scraping (I'll apply more stripper tomorrow so I can have an exciting Friday night!) Plus, I'm on sporadic geriatric dog duty for my neighbor for the next week. He's a sweet 14 year old black lab with hip dysplasia. He pretty much only gets up to eat and poop. The family spends most of their leisure time in the basement, not just cause it is coolest down there in the summer, but because he has to be carried up the stairs. He's well loved.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, you know, instead of just feeling like I'm here but not Doing Anything, I thought I could do something!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I had to make 8 trips from the house to the curb to bring out all my garbage and recycling this week. About half of that was boxes, and most of the rest was the styrofoam packaging from the kitchen cart I ordered. I think there was about half a bag of actual regular garbage, and a few cans for recycling.

I got rid of my boxes and packing materials by posting to craigslist. Of course, that's how I got a lot of them (thanks to msbelle!)

Since the doors were open a lot of the day while B was working, have a few flies. They are TOTALLY entertaining Loki. Who loved B. As did Mister Kitty. When I walked in, she gushed over how sweet MK was and how hilarious and "helpful" Loki was. Of course, she never saw Devi.

Oh, what do you think of this scenario: A relative may not go to my cousin's wedding because the diabetic cat hides, so a sitter might not be able to find him to shoot him. Am I crazy, or is that what boarding is for? It's just one night!

If I had more free time, I would have freecycled or craigslisted them, but I start meetings tomorrow, start teaching on Monday, and still have to get all my stuff at my house and office organized, so I realized that I don't really have time to wait on craigslist people.

Yeah, Hil. That's a lot.
