In "WTFF" news, the ex-wife thought it would "be easier" for she, her husband, M and their newborn to stay here over Labor Day than at her sister's (about 4 miles from us.)
Please tell me that she's been told to take that idea and shove it up her fundament.
I am not even sure how it is "easier" for her.
I really hope the DH vetoed that, Erin.
Wow, Erin.
So I'm really impressed with this carpenter I hired. Basement door has had the frame built up, door cut down and rehung. She'll be putting in a new lockset and new security grate tomorrow. She's stripped the framing for the deck door (to figure out how much is salvageable, removed the rotting lintel and cut the replacement wood. And this was all starting from scratch, so involved the shopping and measuring and figuring out. Tomorrow, she'll finish it all up. There is a TABLE SAW IN MY BASEMENT! I find that awesome. What is not awesome for my bank account is I'm looking around my house seeing all the other sorts of projects I could hire her for. I love that she is reusing as much as is possible, not just ripping the whole lot out.
But if not, methinks it's time to educate him that he's not the only one in the household with veto power.
Oh Erin. What has your husband said?
That's awful, Erin. I hope your husband sees it as such.
But if not, methinks it's time to educate him that he's not the only one in the household with veto power.
Yeah--you could totally threaten to withhold sex.
Heh.
My mother found a fab cold summer soup recipe that involved honeydew melon, mint, and pineapple juice. and maybe some creamer to give it some weight.
My mom used to make something like that. You can freeze it in a small container and by lunch time it's all slushy and delish.
ION, I need more foodie friends. I got a line on one of those underground restaurants but I'm not sure any of my local friends will be up for it.
