I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

meara - I'm not ita and I'm certainly no expert on Jamaican patois, but from my interactions with my friend's niece who was about that age when she visited from Kingston, it sounds like patois to me.

Again, I have no certain idea.

Yep! That's Khourtney's daughter in the picture but it's her son that has a trach/g-tube/severe CP.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm unclear how much of this is the "small child" part and how much is the "Jamaican" part. ita, can you verify?

It's not particularly thick patois. And she's speaking very affectedly, quite like an adult. She's definitely performing, whether for the camera or the guy talking, I don't know. But that's not a kiddie accent. That's an adult way of speaking, and everything she's saying is along the lines of exasperation with a recalcitrant child.

But it's totally authentic-sounding patois. More accent than dialogue.

I hate waking up and realising you left last night's dinner out on the stove. On the other hand, it tasted disgusting, so maybe my subconscious was at work here. Never again to use the spices that come with the Ralph's stir fry package. There's no flavour there.

Ugh, headache. Meds tonight.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hi Cody! Hi!

I was trying to figure out why I am so tired, and I remembered I stayed up too late finishing a book. Because it wasn't very good, but it was a mystery, so I needed to see what all shook out. But really, not very good.

Because books.

Aw, Cody! Cutiehead.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Can someone explain why I can have a really good night's sleep and feel more gronked than the day before when I barely got any? Is it because I'm still making up the difference? Because it's really annoying.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can't stop laughing at this - trailer for Twitter movie.

(If you haven't seen the real trailer for the real Facebook movie, watch that first.)
