this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Niece just calls it "Zack and Cody." Two brothers live in the hotel where their mother works, or something like that.

Did they move to a cruise ship? (It was on cable when we were on vacation.)

And yeah, the best thing I can say about it is that it was insipid.

Because books.

Yes, Zack and Cody are now living The Suite Life: On Deck. Sara watches it sometimes, but she's a little rule-maker, and she's always appropriately appalled when one of them is doing something wrong. And she likes the silliness of it.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That Grace video is delightful.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

RE: the video, thanks!

Both Grace and Noah like when I sing and dance around the kitchen (as I do to Tracy Chapman). I can't decide if they like it or if they are making fun.

Also, Grace DOES where other clothes than the ones in that video. In fact, I had to change her right after I posted that.

When Sara was a toddler, she used to cover my mouth when I sang. "No sing, Mommy. NO."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Beloit College's new mindset list.

They continue to be full of crap.

I mean, seriously, could you follow tennis today and not know John McEnroe played? He's all over everything. Never mind all computers coming with a CD-ROM drive. That's seriously outdated in netbook world.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

You would not believe the smell that comes off the box.

I repacked everything into a new box, hoping to cut down on the smell. I also chucked a couple of bottles that wouldn't twist closed fully. Not sure if it helped.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They continue to be full of crap.

Or, at least to write for maximum effect. Saying "John McEnroe retired before they were born" wouldn't get people riled up. Although it might make them a little depressed. And I don't understand what they are saying about Buffy?

I guess it's their cutesy way of saying Buffy's always been around. But, seriously, say Sunnydale High and The Master.

I know! That was the movie, right? Which never had the cult status the show had.
