I wish, tommy.
Why am I here talking to you guys?
We're very pretty?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Ooh, hmm. I think I'd have to F: JGL, C: Rudd, M: Enver.
Weekend plans: Teach, church, church, work. Pretty normal for me. But for the SO: Teach, drive to NM, camp out at Chaco Canyon and watch the meteors, record six hour Navajo scripture song traditional medicine music, shoot archery with our buddies, hang out with our former students, hike around Chaco, drive back to AZ.
Dang. I need to rehearse tonight. Week flew right by.
My weekend plans include seeing friends tonight, stretch class omorrow (yay!) and, uh... um... no idea what else. Do I really have to start teaching in a little over a week? That's just rude.
I have to figure out when to have Franny's birthday party. Maybe Labor Day weekend? She wants a movie night party.
I know! I am so not ready to be back in school.
I have loved Paul Rudd forever. Cute, funny Jewish guy! Smart! Incredible smile! Nice-but-not-dull! Self-deprecating! IOW, my DH (in a smaller form).

Summer class just finished last night, and I've got three weeks until my fall class, which I'm taking on Saturdays mornings--yay for not having to worry about rush hour traffic!!
Timelies!
Today was the Huntington Garden tour. One of our tour group is disabled and needs to sometimes use a wheelchair. Since it's "sometimes" he doesn't have an electric wheelchair. The volunteer taking us on the tour proceeded to ignore him and started going over grass and off paths. 20 years since the ADA was passed and still a volunteer working for the Huntington Gardens hasn't gotten any training on those issues? As a result, the disabled person & his family & friends were left behind and got a fraction of the tour everyone else in our group got. Grrr.
I was also stunned to see (a) very old-fashioned wasteful sprinkler systems in use and (b) watering going on at noon in the hot SoCal sun. Clearly water consciousness is not big with the Huntington Gardens.
OTOH, they seem to be embracing the edible gardening movement, even using a few permaculture principles (though they didn't use the "P" word). I was a little disappointed that part of the garden will not be open to the general public but only to classes, but it *is* progress for them to even have it.
Did the most walking today that I've done since I moved. I'm glad my knee didn't go out on me again. I should try to nap, though.
Too hot to clean many of the things.
Our AC was overheating and making some funny noises. It's off for a while, till the sun goes downish, and holy shit, it is so hot upstairs (where my office, and therefore I, is/am.) It's got to be 90. I am wearing teeny tiny shorts and tank, and it is still too much.
